José Alonso is an architect from the ETSAC (University of A Coruña-UDC), specializing in Urban Planning. Master in Urban Renovation and Rehabilitation (University of Santiago de Compostela-USC). Master of Landscape Architecture (Polytechnic University of Catalonia-UPC).
After collaborating in several professional firms and freely practicing as an architect developing private commissions and competitions, in 2010, he began to work in the public administration, joining the EquipRius of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.
Since then, his professional activity has been linked to the environmental recovery of metropolitan river areas, writing and managing landscape work directions, among which the Urban Gardens of Can Pinyol (SantBoi de Llobregat), the Parc de la Riera d ‘en Font in Montgat, the Socio-Environmental Recovery of Sant Andreu de la Barca and the Biodiversity Refuge on the Besòs river, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
