MEETING BETWEEN STUDENTS FROM THE MASTER IN LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE BARCELONA (MAP) AND THE TALLINNA TEHNIKAÜLIKOOL UNIVERSITY (TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF TALLIN), ESTONIA

A few weeks ago we received Kristi Grišakov, the director of the landscape programmes in the University of Tallinn –Estonia- as our guest, together with 20 undergraduate and master students.

These landscape programmes are developed in the Technical University of Tallinn, in the department of Civil Engineering and Architecture:

This year Barcelona takes part in a series of annual international visits organized by the University of Tallinn, where students are studying urban-planning, landscape and architecture projects with a remarkable influence in the development of the city.

On the occasion of their visit, and given that our theoretical module: Contemporary Landscape Projects Critique, encompasses discussion about urban-planning and landscape projects that were developed for Barcelona’s Olympic Games in 1992, we arranged a meeting in the university.

Lisa Diedrich, Marina Cervera and Maria Jesús Huarte, professors in charge of this module, prepared an introductory class about the subject and the case study sites, which benefited both our students and our guests, who had already had the opportunity to visit some of these places.

From the technical team of the Master, we wish our colleagues from Tallinn to have enjoyed their visit and the experience exchange as much as we have.
